In a small mixing bowl combine miso, water, garlic, ginger, salt and vinegar; whisk to combine.
Rub each steak with about a tablespoon of the marinade, cover and refrigerate overnight, up to 24 hours.
Preheat grill to medium high. Grill steaks for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until steaks reach 125° F internal temperature for medium rare. Rest steaks 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
