Sarah Donohoe, Home Economist
Certified Angus Beef LLC

Sarah Donohoe earned her bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from The Ohio State University in 1991. She majored in Family Resource Management.

As a home economist, Donohoe helps individuals and families put research-based knowledge to work to improve their lives. At Certified Angus Beef LLC, Donohoe hosts cooking demonstrations in which she shares product information, preparation tips, and recipes with consumers. She also conducts development and training programs for grocery store meat and deli associates. These seminars provide better understanding of beef products, allowing retail personnel to more effectively answer consumer questions about beef. The training sessions introduce quality attributes of the Certified Angus Beef ® brand, how to market the brand, and nutrition and preparation information.

“Evaluating consumer trends and food-related projects are certainly where my heart is,” Donohoe says.

Her best tip for aspiring cooks? “Be creative, experiment and have fun. Use recipes as a guideline only.”

Donohoe says she has always been involved with food. Previously, she was the cooking school manager at a retail store. She has also handled consumer affairs for the Ohio Beef Council.
